UPDATE: DIGITARUM ON AUDIBLE!

Almost eight years after it's original release, Digitarum is now available in audio format! Brought to life by the voice talents of Jack Nolan, my debut novel can now be experience in a whole new way. I hope people enjoy the story in this new medium!

REVIEW: DESCENDER VOLUME 1: TIN STARS

INTRODUCTION Every now and then, I come across something so unexpectedly good that it just blows me away. I've had a couple of these occurrences as a result of my participation in 2015's Booktube SFF Awards Readalongs which are hosted by the Goodreads group of the same name. Last year, I enjoyed books like RAT QUEENS VOLUME 1: SASS AND SORCERY , and SIXTH OF THE DUSK . During this year's readalongs , I began with  DESCENDER VOLUME 1: TIN STARS , a graphic novel I'd never heard of before. It's published by Image though which is the same comics distributor that prints the RAT QUEENS series and it looked really cool when I checked it out, so I decided to give this one a chance. HOW I RATED IT 5/5 The art, the characters, the world, the story, everything just left me stunned and wanting the next volume in my hands immediately (sadly, it's not out just yet). MINI REVIEW: THE HOBBIT AND THE LORD OF THE RINGS BOX SET

One does not simply reread The Lord of the Rings...  I'd treated myself to this box set quite some time ago, but after far too long a delay, I finally decided to start rereading this wonderful series at the start of the new year and have been making my way through it month by month.   HOW I RATED IT  5/5  These incredible stories were well worth the purchase on their own, but this beautiful box set with intricate illustrations by the talented Alan Lee is one bookish purchase I have absolutely no regrets about splurging on.    CONTENT There's probably not all that much that hasn't already been said about these books. I guess I will just state that these stories are very special to me and it's taken me far too long to reread them. When I first read these back in High School, I fell in love instantly with The Hobbit and really enjoyed The Lord of The Rings , but I had to get used to how different it was from the Peter Jackson films and I was not prepared ...

REVIEW: DEFIANT (SONGS OF CHAOS #3)

Sons of the night... In the spirit of continuing to catch up on series I've started, I decided to read the third available book in the Songs of Chaos series, mistakenly thinking it was the last.  HOW I RATED IT  4/5  In spite of my incorrect belief that this was the last book in a trilogy, I had a great deal of fun with the third entry into the SONGS OF CHAOS series.  NOTE:  While this review does not contain major spoilers for  DEFIANT , it does mention specific things about  ASCENDANT  and UNBOUND that could be considered as such.   CHARACTERS As with the previous book, this adventure is told across multiple points of view. Holt, Talia, and Osric all return as key persons of interest and are now joined by others like the half-dragon Rake as well as Paragon Adaskar at different points.
